VPK-Tuition Supported Program
Program Overview
VPK is a state-funded program administered through Broward County Public Schools. These programs are designed to promote school readiness by supporting young children's academic growth, relationship-building skills, self-regulation, and physical development, while also strengthening families.
The program prepares eligible four-year-olds for kindergarten at no cost. In Broward County Public Schools, free VPK is combined with additional Pre-K, fee-based hours to create a full school day program. The Pre-K, fee-based option is also available for three-year-olds.

How to Apply
The VPK/Pre-K (Tuition Supported) Process is used to select students that are applying for the full or half-day VPK/Pre-K (Tuition Supported) classes offered at selected BCPS schools.
There are limited seats for parents interested in a free, 3-hour, VPK-only class and seats for families interested in a full school day, VPK/Pre-K tuition-supported program. Students are selected based upon District priority and random selection.
Priority is given to students living within the school’s attendance boundary. VPK/Pre-K classes accept full school day applications for 3-year-old children.
